Join Janet Catherine Johnston, astrophysicist, space scientist and science fiction author, as she brings to you the Top 10 Most Extraordinary Astrophysical discoveries, mysteries, and accomplishments of the last decade! From the smallest measurements having the biggest consequences, from gravity waves to string theory, quantum entanglement to up-close-and-personal flybys of Pluto–enjoy the latest science breakthroughs presented in layman’s terms.

One, 90-minute class: Monday, 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.
October 2, 2023. Nock Middle School.
Cost: $40. Class Limit: 12.

  • Anyone from the Greater Newburyport community is welcome to participate as a student or to become a teacher!
  • Most classes are also available to teens 15 years and over.
  1. NO REFUNDS ARE GIVEN AFTER A COURSE BEGINS.
  2. In order to receive a refund, students must withdraw at least three (3) days prior to class start date. Student withdrawals beyond three days, (4+) will not receive a refund.
  • If, for any reason, the Newburyport schools are closed or cancelled (ie. inclement weather)… Adult Ed classes will also be cancelled.
  • Check the Website, Facebook, Instagram, or call (978) 992-8060 for class cancellation updates.
  • In the case of a class cancellation, you may choose a credit voucher which can be used for any class at any time, or a refund.
  1. We do not send registration confirmations.
  2. We only contact you if your class is cancelled or full.
  3. We do not deposit checks immediately. We hold them until we are certain a class will run.
