Like most organizations, Covid dramatically affected our student enrollments and subsequently, our bottom line. While it may seem the virus has slowed, it is clearly still rearing its head and making its presence known, which means we are still trying to catch up to make up for the losses we suffered in 2020-2021.

Cuts have been made, the catalogue has been downsized and we are still working with older office equipment that needs to be replaced. We are grateful to have a few institutions and foundations to thank, including Newburyport Bank, Institution for Savings, Moseley Foundation, Civic League, and NAID.

As you may or may not know, NACE is a completely self-sustaining program that operates independently. We operate out of the Nock Middle School under the auspices of the Newburyport School System, but we receive no tax dollars from the city or school. We are funded primarily by class revenues, a few grants and “Friends of NACE” who generously donate tax deductible gifts. This is all that keeps NACE afloat and allows us to pay the small 2 person staff, instructor salaries, supplies, website designer, design, print and mailing of 15,000 catalogues and the other myriad expenses related to running a small program that relies on the generosity of donors.

We are whole-heartedly dedicated to fulfilling our mission of providing stimulating, creative, intellectual, and fun life-long learning opportunities to everyone in the greater Newburyport community and beyond. But we need your help to remain solvent!

I hope you will support our valuable program by making a generous tax-deductible gift today to ensure we are financially sound and that our program will thrive, not just survive! Can we count on you?

We are grateful for your support at any level. We also accept in-kind donations.
