Understanding And Practicing Self-Care

Class Description

Cristina Oliver, MSW, LCSW

Everyone experiences their share of peaks and valleys throughout their lifetime. This is a fact of life. The valleys can differ in severity. This healing workshop will help participants understand the therapeutic connection between mind, body, and soul practices, including expressive and somatic physical releases through breathing and exercise techniques, to assist in recovery from life’s challenges. Whether it be a transitional life change, stressful work environment, family issues, trauma, or general mental health and well being challenges, this healing workshop is for you. Although not required, recommended reading material is “The Body Keeps The Score” by Bessel van der Kolk. Please wear comfortable clothes and sneakers, and bring a water bottle. Cristina has worked in healing and recovery since 2015 with extensive training on complex trauma, EMDR, outpatient psychotherapy, expressive arts therapy, trauma retreats, crisis centers and residential programs.
