Newburyport Adult & Community Education is a small self-sustaining organization doing big things in our community. We receive no city tax dollars and rely on class fees, small donations and sponsorships to keep our adult educational programs running that our community has come to rely on for more than twenty years. We hope to continue for at least another twenty more with your support.

CATALOG SPONSORSHIP ADVERTISING 2026/2027

Our Sponsorship Advertising opportunities offer significant exposure for you and your business throughout the year, enhances your brand, and signifies your commitment to GNACE and the power of lifelong learning. Your support allows us to continue to offer over 200+ personal enrichment, skills-based, and academic courses throughout the year to more than 1,200 self-motivated adult learners, including low to moderate income in our community who need assistance.

  • Annual Sponsorship includes your full-color ad in ALL three (3) catalogs – Fall 2026, Winter 2027, and Spring 2027.
  • 20,000 pieces per mailing. That’s 60,000 catalogs in total printed and mailed directly into the mailboxes of households in the Greater Newburyport region, Southern NH, and beyond.
  • Hundreds more are distributed to all local libraries, businesses and other physical locations.
  • Advertising is limited and on a first come, first served basis. Ads may be changed each semester and are encouraged.
  • You may also choose to do an ad in one or two issues.

Greater Newburyport Adult & Community Education (GNACE) is a completely self-sustaining program that is funded primarily from class fees, grants, and private donations. While we operate under the auspices of the Newburyport Public School System, GNACE receives no public funding from the City of Newburyport or school system. Show your support for lifelong learning by making a tax-deductible donation to ensure that we can continue to offer valuable educational programs that our community has come to rely on.

  • People just like YOU! Now’s the perfect time to… learn a new language, explore the natural world, paint a landscape, make jewelry, research your family tree, get your body moving.
  • Those are just a few of the nearly 200 exciting classes offered by GNACE each year.
  • Browse our catalog and try something new!
  • Anyone in the Greater Newburyport community and beyond is welcome to take classes or be an instructor.
  • Most classes are available to teens 15 years and older.

Please read the Refund Policy in full.

  1. If a class is cancelled by GNACE, a refund or credit voucher will be given.
  2. Refunds or vouchers are not given on the day class begins, after a class begins, if you’ve taken at least one of the classes, or are a no-show.
  3. Class fees are not prorated for any missed sessions during the scheduled class term. If you are unable to attend one or more classes, no partial refunds, credits, or adjustments will be provided.
  4. In order to receive a refund or class voucher, students must give a minimum of four (4) days notice prior to class start date if they need to withdraw.
  5. Vouchers may be used anytime for any class and have no expiration date.
  6. COOKING CLASSES: Withdrawals must be made at least seven days (7) prior to class start date to receive a credit voucher. There are no refunds for cooking classes. However, registrants may transfer their registration to another person to fill the spot, if possible.
      

Thank you for your understanding. We are a fully self-sustaining organization and receive no funding from the school system or city of Newburyport. We rely on class tuitions, donations, grants and sponsorships in our catalogue that enable us to offer this educational program to our community.

We hope you’ll continue to engage in our lifelong learning programs for years to come. There is something for everyone!

  • If, for any reason, the Newburyport schools are closed or cancelled (ie. inclement weather)… GNACE classes will also be cancelled.
  • Check the Website, Facebook, Instagram, or call (978) 992-8060 for class cancellation updates.
  • If a class is canceled, a make-up day will be coordinated with the instructor and students.
  • We do not send registration confirmations. We only contact you if your class is cancelled or full.

  1. Your instructor will email you the link within 1-week of class start date.
  2. To participate you need only basic computer skills and a strong internet connection.
  3. You will need to download Zoom onto your computer HERE. And to test your system, Zoom offers a test site HERE.
  4. Here are some instructions on how-to join a meeting with special instructions for Mac and Windows computers.
