Introduction to Aquatic Mammals Tracks and Sign

Class Description

Bob Metcalfe

In this two-week course, participants will learn to identify the tracks and signs of local aquatic mammals. We will meander through the woods in search of spring waterfowls, beavers and other evidence of aquatic mammal activity in our area. Tracking allows us a powerful glimpse into the daily activities of the animals around us and to read the stories of their lives. As we explore, you will learn about your wildlife neighbors and increase your awareness and appreciation of the natural world and how these animals interact with and depend upon their environment.

Bob Metcalfe is a naturalist and environmental educator with a lifelong interest in the natural world. He is a Registered Maine Guide and has been sharing his love of nature and wildlife with adults and children for 35 years.
