French: Conversational

This class is for students who have some knowledge of French and would like to master everyday situations such as asking for directions, placing an order at a restaurant, etc. Along the way you will learn some grammar, pick up new vocabulary and learn about French culture. Don’t wait to be in France to speak French! Required text: French in 3 Months (DK Hugo). You may purchase at your local bookstore or online. Veronique was born in Paris and has lived in Nantes and studied in Angers. She has taught French as an adjunct professor at Merrimack College and Timberlane High in Plaistow. She tells us that “teaching French is the most fun for me right now!”

Eight, 2-hour sessions: Tuesdays, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Begins January 23, 2024. Nock Middle School.
Cost: $260. Class Limit: 10.

  • Most classes are also available to teens 15 years and over.
  1. There are NO REFUNDS given unless a class is canceled.
  2. There are NO REFUNDS given on the day class begins.
  3. There are NO REFUNDS given after a class begins.
  4. There are NO REFUNDS given if a student withdraws within three (3) days prior to class start date.
  5. In order to receive a refund or class voucher, students must give notice of withdrawal at least 4 days prior to class start date. Vouchers may be used anytime for any class and have no expiration date.

  • If, for any reason, the Newburyport schools are closed or cancelled (ie. inclement weather)… Adult Ed classes will also be cancelled.

  • In the case of a class cancellation, you may choose a credit voucher which can be used for any class at any time, or a refund.
  • We do not send registration confirmations. We only contact you if your class is cancelled or full.
