Monique Boudreau
Discover the relaxing and creative art of crochet in this beginner-friendly class! Perfect for anyone new to crocheting, this course will guide you through the basics step by step with hands-on instruction. Students will learn how to hold a crochet hook, understand different yarn types, create foundational stitches, read simple patterns, and techniques for starting and finishing projects. You’ll soon be on your way to making a scarf. By the end of the class, students will leave with the confidence, creativity and skills needed to continue crocheting independently and complete beginner-level projects at home. No prior experience is necessary โ just bring your enthusiasm and get ready to stitch! Growing up, Monique learned to crochet by watching her mother and grandmother. Her skills really took off when she decided to crochet a plant for a friend who struggled to keep real ones alive – and then she was hooked. Today, she loves sharing her skills and enthusiasm for crochet with others.
Materials to bring with you to the first class: Size H (5 mm) crochet hook, yarn needle or large-eyed tapestry needle, and a small pair of scissors. During the first class students will be provided with swatches to practices with. At the second class, please bring 8 oz of worsted weight yarn.
