Bridge has been around for hundreds of years and has recently risen in popularity. More people than ever are playing it. It is a socially engaging and stimulating card game that strengthens memory, improves focus and concentration as well as strategic thinking. Bridge provides a wonderful opportunity for socializing and meeting new acquaintances! This course is for beginners who have never played the game. It is easier to learn than you may think and is appropriate for all ages. Ed’s goal as an experienced trainer is to give you the basic tools that you need to learn the game in a friendly, relaxed environment while having FUN doing it. Come and learn a game you can enjoy for life with friends and family!

Eight, 2-hour sessions: Wednesdays, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Begins January 22, 2025. Nock Middle School.
Cost: $210. Minimum: 4 people. Maximum: 8.

  • Anyone from the Greater Newburyport community is welcome to participate as a student or to become a teacher!
  • Most classes are also available to teens 15 years and over.
  1. If a class is cancelled, a refund or voucher will be given.
  2. Refunds are not given on the day class begins or after a class begins.
  3. If notice of class withdrawal is made within three (3) days prior to the class start date, there is no refund.
  4. In order to receive a refund or class voucher, students must give notice of withdrawal at least 4 days prior to class start date. If you choose a voucher, it may be used anytime for any class and has no expiration date.
  • If, for any reason, the Newburyport schools are closed or cancelled (ie. inclement weather)… GNACE classes will also be cancelled.
  • Check the Website, Facebook, Instagram, or call (978) 992-8060 for class cancellation updates.
  • If a class is canceled, a make-up day will be coordinated with the instructor and students.
  • We do not send registration confirmations. We only contact you if your class is cancelled or full.
  1. To participate you need only basic computer literacy. Primarily the skills required: download, email, word processing, and printing.
  2. You will need to download Zoom onto your computer HERE. And to test your system, Zoom offers a test site HERE.
  3. Here are some instructions on how-to join a meeting with special instructions for Mac and Windows computers.
  4. Please email us and someone will get back to you to discuss the details.
  5. Lastly, we have compiled some guidelines for STUDENTS & INSTRUCTORS.
