Gentle Restorative Yoga

In this 8-week yoga and meditation series you will practice the basics of gentle slow flow yoga while gently stretching your body and learning to connect with your breath emphasizing peace and calm in body and mind. The pace is meditative, and a time to practice bringing ease and presence into your daily life. Instructor Julianne Russo will guide you through the series, which is appropriate for all ages and levels. Beginners welcome and encouraged to join! Please bring a yoga mat and bottle of water.

Eight, 1-hour sessions: Tuesdays, 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Begins January 21, 2025. Cost $150. Class Limit: 20.
Location: Newburyport High School Dance Studio,
241 High Street Newburyport.

  1. If you are facing the front of the high school, park in the lot closest to the football stadium (rear right side of the school).
  2. Enter the schoolโ€™s circle driveway from Toppans Lane and then take an immediate right, drive through a parking lot toward the football stadium,
  3. then turn LEFT into a smaller parking area closest to the rear of the school.
  4. From that parking area, enter through the BACK DOOR with the overhang.
  5. There will be an entrance sign on the door.
  6. Upon entry, Room #35 Aerobic Room is on the right.

Please allow time for parking so the class can begin on time. There is NO entry from the schoolโ€™s main entrance.

  • Anyone from the Greater Newburyport community is welcome to participate as a student or to become a teacher!
  • Most classes are also available to teens 15 years and over.
  1. If a class is cancelled, a refund or voucher will be given.
  2. Refunds are not given on the day class begins or after a class begins.
  3. If notice of class withdrawal is made within three (3) days prior to the class start date, there is no refund.
  4. In order to receive a refund or class voucher, students must give notice of withdrawal at least 4 days prior to class start date. If you choose a voucher, it may be used anytime for any class and has no expiration date.
  • If, for any reason, the Newburyport schools are closed or cancelled (ie. inclement weather)… GNACE classes will also be cancelled.
  • Check the Website, Facebook, Instagram, or call (978) 992-8060 for class cancellation updates.
  • If a class is canceled, a make-up day will be coordinated with the instructor and students.
  • We do not send registration confirmations. We only contact you if your class is cancelled or full.
  1. To participate you need only basic computer literacy. Primarily the skills required: download, email, word processing, and printing.
  2. You will need to download Zoom onto your computer HERE. And to test your system, Zoom offers a test site HERE.
  3. Here are some instructions on how-to join a meeting with special instructions for Mac and Windows computers.
