In this 2-week workshop, the current options for transitioning away from fossil fuels will be presented and discussed. Led by instructor Peter Falabella, topics will be presented in non-technical terms and no prior experience or knowledge will be needed. Topics will include only those options that Peter has personally purchased and is currently using at his home. They include electric cars, home heating and cooling, water heaters, clothes dryers, appliances, andyard equipment. The class will be geared toward people wanting to reduce and eventually eliminate their personal use of gas and oil. With the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act as well as state and local incentives it is now possible to purchase green options that cost the same or less than their fossil fuel equivalents. This class will cover the options, the costs, and the current federal, state, and local incentives. Following the last session and as part of this workshop, the instructor will be available to work individually with each student to assist them in developing a plan and executing it. This class is for those that want to do something about climate change but have not known how to go about it. VIA ZOOM.
