Getting Started as a Writer




Class Description

Elizabeth Rose, MFA, will lead this virtual class especially designed for those who have been procrastinating getting started as a writer. The class will be sensitive to the beginning writer’s anxiety. Support will be given to help the beginning writer develop a writing routine and share their work. The class will include writing prompts, didactic information, group discussion and one-on-one reviews. Topics covered will include voice, style, genres of non-fiction, fiction and poetry, dialogue, and grammar.

Four, 2-hour sessions: Tuesdays, 7:00-9:00 p.m.
Begins May 19, 2020. The virtual platform will be Google Hangouts.
Elizabeth will be in touch with participants prior to the first meeting.
