Dance Fusion

Class Description

Come and get your dance on! Dance Fusion is aerobic and designed to strengthen the core to music that is eclectic and high energy for a full hour of fun. In this class, you will learn basic moves from Latin, Hip-Hop, Belly Dance, and Jazz in routines that are simple enough to follow along and build upon. No prior dance experience is necessary. All levels are welcome. Janet has been dancing with a famed group of instructors from NY, CT, and Boston studios for over 15 years. She has performed with Belly Dance, Hip-Hop, and Latin dance troupes. Wear comfortable dance shoes or light tennis shoes, with no heavy tread.

Seven, 1-hour classes: Tuesdays, 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Begins April 23, 2024. Newburyport High School Dance Studio*.
Cost: $165. Class Limit: 15.

*DANCE STUDIO PARKING
If you are facing the front of the high school, park in the lot closest to the football stadium (rear right side of the school):

  1. Enter the school’s circle driveway from Toppans Lane and then take an immediate right.
  2. Drive through a parking lot toward the football stadium, then turn LEFT into a smaller parking area closest to the rear of the school.
  3. From that parking area, enter through the BACK DOOR with the overhang.
  4. There will be an entrance sign on the door.
  5. Upon entry, Room #35 Aerobic Room is on the right.
  6. There is NO entry from the school’s main entrance.

* Please allow time for parking so class can begin on time.

  • Most classes are also available to teens 15 years and over.
  1. There are no refunds given unless a class is canceled.
  2. There are no refunds given on the day class begins.
  3. There are no refunds given after a class begins.
  4. There are no refunds given if a student withdraws within three (3) days prior to class start date.
  5. In order to receive a refund or class voucher, students must give notice of withdrawal at least 4 days prior to class start date. Vouchers may be used anytime for any class and have no expiration date.
  • If, for any reason, the Newburyport schools are closed or cancelled (ie. inclement weather)… Adult Ed classes will also be cancelled.
  • Check the Website, Facebook, Instagram, or call (978) 992-8060 for class cancellation updates.
  • If a class is canceled, a make-up day will be coordinated with the instructor and students.
  • We do not send registration confirmations. We only contact you if your class is cancelled or full.
  1. To participate you need only basic computer literacy. Primarily the skills required: download, email, word processing, and printing.
  2. You will need to download Zoom onto your computer HERE. And to test your system, Zoom offers a test site HERE.
  3. Here are some instructions on how-to join a meeting with special instructions for Mac and Windows computers.
  4. Please email us and someone will get back to you to discuss the details.
  5. Lastly, we have compiled some guidelines for STUDENTS & INSTRUCTORS.
