Newburyport Adult & Community Education

Common Scents/Sense Essential Oil Education

Class Description

Jan Swindlehurst is a certified clinical aromatherapy practitioner. And she will teach you how to safely use essential oils. There is a lot of information and misinformation available on the internet. Essential oils are natural but powerful. Some of our strongest medicines come from plants – think of digitalis from the foxglove plant. Anyone who is interested in using essential oils would find this class helpful in understanding what to look for when buying essential oils, learning how they best can be applied, and when NOT to use them. If you’ve ever wondered if you could use essential oils for your children or your pets, this course will answer those questions. By the end of this course, people will understand how and where to seek out good, reliable information, how to make an informed choice when purchasing essential oils, and how essential oils can best be applied. No prerequisites are necessary. Each will be given a recommended list of oil products for purchase.

One, 2-hour session: Wednesday, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Runs November 17, 2021. Nock Middle School.
Cost $35 Class limit: 10
