Are you feeling overwhelmed by the complexities of the college planning process? Whether you’re a parent looking to support your child’s dreams, or a high school student setting out on your academic adventure, this workshop will provide useful information you can use to make the process easier and less confusing. We’ll help you overcome the challenge of understanding the college planning process – from how to choose the right colleges to apply to, deciphering admission requirements and current enrollment priorities. Plus, we’ll unravel the mysteries of financial aid and scholarships. Making the college process a journey filled with excitement and self-reflection is the goal. Instructor Rebekah Elmore is the founder of PEAK College Consulting. PEAK provides assistance to students nationwide. Their mission is to provide families with personalized guidance throughout the college application journey.

One, 2-hour session: Monday, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Newburyport Adult & Community Education (NACE) is a completely self-sustaining program that is funded primarily from class fees, grants, and private donations. While we operate under the auspices of the Newburyport Public Schools, NACE receives no public funding from the City of Newburyport or school system. Show your support for lifelong learning by making a tax-deductible donation to NACE and ensure that we can continue to offer valuable programming to the greater Newburyport community.

  • Anyone from the Greater Newburyport community is welcome to participate as a student or to become a teacher!
  • Most classes are also available to teens 15 years and over.
  1. There are NO REFUNDS given unless a class is canceled.
  2. There are NO REFUNDS given on the day class begins.
  3. There are NO REFUNDS given after a class begins.
  4. There are NO REFUNDS given if a student withdraws within three (3) days prior to class start date.
  5. In order to receive a refund or class voucher, students must give notice of withdrawal at least 4 days prior to class start date. Vouchers may be used anytime for any class and have no expiration date.

  • If, for any reason, the Newburyport schools are closed or cancelled (ie. inclement weather)… Adult Ed classes will also be cancelled.
  • Check the Website, Facebook, Instagram, or call (978) 992-8060 for class cancellation updates.
  • In the case of a class cancellation, you may choose a credit voucher which can be used for any class at any time, or a refund.
  • We do not send registration confirmations. We only contact you if your class is cancelled or full.
